I made a “No Robby” cut of the first episode, because I’ve heard the same and wanted to see what kind of experience that is.. and without Robby the episode not only barely makes sense, it’s 20 mins long and she’s in it for under a min. Tempted to do the whole first season to see how much “better” it really is 😂

I just saw someone commenting on "I literally skipped any Robby scenes, unless Samira was in it", is this even possible? Isn't Robby everywhere all the time? What's the difference between that and not watching the show?

Thinking about how after Louie died in 2x06, Robby knew Whitaker was going to be sad and blame himself, because even after all this time after losing Mr. Milton, 10 months in Robby knows Whitaker still struggles with the deaths of patients. So when he heard he was free he immediately asked for him to be put on his patient with him because he “could use the distraction.” Long story short.. Robby knows that when Whitaker is around him he’s focused on HIM. That’s not me being Hucklerobby pilled, it’s canon. Gerran and Noah have both said that Whitaker is always trying to impress Robby. He is enamored by him, seeks his approval in everything he does, Whitaker is even aware that Robby doesn’t touch him as much which left Whitaker confused, and when Robby offers his apartment to him Whitaker is happy because he sees it as a sign that Robby cares about him (which he obviously does) and that’s really important to him. If he’s with Robby, he’ll think less about other things. His mind will be on Robby. We also know that Robby is very intentional with how he treats Whitaker. Withholding touch being one example, masking away his less-postive qualities and deteriorating mental health exclusively and specifically around Whitaker being another. Robby is VERY aware of how Whitaker feels about him (however you want to view it) and this moment is one of the best examples of that. He’s taking Whitaker out of his rough spot and letting Whitaker be distracted by him by working together. Giving him balance. He checks in on him later, let’s Whitaker know he can come to him at any point to talk about how he’s feeling and they even stay by each other at Louie’s farewell. I’d say while 2x09 got the biggest Hucklerobby moment with “The Offer”, 2x06 is probably the episode that showcases their relationship, specifically Robby’s intentional care of Whitaker’s mental and emotional state, the best. It’s a really nice episode for them as a pair. This small moment of him asking to have Whitaker is just a moment that I think goes under appreciated overall sometimes, so I wanted to spotlight it. I also love this moment because I find it funny that the second Dana tells Whitaker that Robby needs him he is out the door 🏃🏼 💨 If there is any interest in a deeper dive into their behaviors together as a duo, and their relationship as a whole in S2, let me know. I’m a little more cautious about posting long posts because of hostility.. but if there is enough interest, I’m down. Anyways.. Hucklerobby Forever. 🫶🏻
