you're judging R07's prose like is a book with text only, but the reasons for why he writes the way he does stretch out into his episodic structure, auditory accompaniment, visual flow of his text on screen, as well as the technical limitations of the engine in which it was built

I agree that Ryuukishi prose is mediocre and serviceable at best, but basing it on english TL is pretty stupid. Like for english readers Cross channel is unreadable dogshit and Fata Morgana is a great prose example, which would sound insane to anyone reading original text
