@vk6py Set your parameters in the DX fields. What is your antenna gain, power at feed, LNA NF, cable losses etc

Pleased to make my first 23cm EME contacts last night. OK1VUM, OH3LWP, ES3RF, OK1USW & RX6AIA Lots of optimising to do next year, but its a start 🙂

@RFconsultantUK So I should set this value to be the same ? I just left the values at default on left side of the form which had your RX gain at 36.0. Will set to 25.9

@RFconsultantUK Hi Peter - I plugged in some numbers on the DX side. Looks OK ? Curious why your RX antenna gain is different to the TX My main challenge is being able to see the moon low enough on the horizon without a tree or roofline in the way to reach US or UK etc

To mount the rotator, I cut and drilled some steel plates, to which I welded a scaffolding joiner (patent pending 😄) Not really a fan of the giant-grub-screw method

For those looking for a sturdy tripod solution for EME or sats, consider using scaffolding. Its strong, cheap, portable, infinitely adjustable, and available everywhere.

My kids have informed me that this is not a slowmo, and Dad is an idiot. It is in fact a fastmo.

@vk6ysf97230 I bought all my bits of scaffolding from Turbo Scaffolding: turboscaffolding.com.au/scaffolding-pe… I went with steel as its stronger and the extra weight is beneficial in this case

@CarstenGrn1 @M0BPQ I would be very interested in one of your spare tubes. I made a square shaped feed and its performance is a bit meh, but that was only my first attempt. A round feed would seem to be more efficient / suitable for a round dish 🤷‍♂️
