@vlofgal @hayatechaaan @budkalon Apparently, ‘tenggara’ (southeast) in Indonesian may come from ‘tengara’ in Malayalam, a South Indian language. Makes sense when you remember how strong the old maritime links between Southeast Asia and India were.

Why does this confuse language learners so much...

@MrJakeD420 @Felko607 @Niono_beater I know what isekai is. I just made a point that isekai becomes more popular because of SAO even though SAO isn’t isekai. I meant many isekai has RPG mechanic gimmicks anyway (at least the earlier one).

.hack fans have been mad at SAO for years because it “copied” their fave and stole its spot (despite SAO being conceptualized around the same time as .hack) and now both have a new game in the works at the same time. It’d be funny as hell if SAO ends up being better
