Veteran DT Eddie Goldman, who played last year for the #Commanders, worked out for the #Giants today, source said. The 32-year-old started six games in 2025.

@ivy_mid2 Coaches were probably concerned about his athleticism. Suppose he doesn't have that instinct as a defender and has raw offensive skill. He's just a standing cone.

FIRST ROUND MOCK@firstroundmock

Caleb Williams isn’t getting a contract extension from the Bears for two reasons: 1. Bears ownership has no history of breaking the bank for quarterbacks they have drafted in the first round dating back to Jim McMahon (1982-1988). The business model with their most recent first round selections Mitch Trubisky (2017-2020) and Justin Fields (2021-2023) was just playing them on their rookie deals. 2. There’s no need to break the bank for a quarterback like Williams who has an NFL career completion percentage of 60.3%. Quarterbacks with that level of accuracy are easy to find through the draft or free agency for minimal investment. For example, Tyrod Taylor had a completion percentage of 59.7% last season (he signed a 1-year deal with the Packers for $2.8 million). Joe Flacco had a 60.3% completion percentage last season (he signed a 1-year deal with the Bengals for $6 million). That’s the fair market value for that level of accuracy. Williams accuracy is also on a downward trend. He went from 62.5% in 2024 to 58.1% during the regular season to 52.2% in the 2025 playoffs. Quarterbacks in that accuracy range are a dime a dozen. Better yet, they could just turn things over to Tyson Bagent as a bridge quarterback who has a career completion percentage of 66.4%. Bagent was an undrafted free agent out of Division II Shepherd University and he is currently on a two-year contract for $10 million. Photo Credit: Getty Images

Here are THREE free agents still out there the should give a call. 3. Derek Barnett- He’s got some juice. He ranked in the 79th percentile in sack rate the past three seasons, with an 87th percentile run-D grade and 67th percentile true pass-rush grade in that span. Still only 29 years old. 2. Taylor Decker- Not in love here but worth a call if you wanna add competition. He’s a veteran LT who has lived in Ben Johnson’s system. He knows the run game, the protections, the language, and what that offense is supposed to look like. 1. Cam Jordan- Would LOVE this fit. 47 tackles 10.5 sacks 15 TFL 15 QB hits 2 FF last year. STILL plays pass and run well. ESPN’s pass-rush win-rate table listed him with a 30% win rate among the best in their edge rankings. PFFs 2025 run-defense grade at 82.1, 5th among edge defenders. Who would you like to see the Bears sign Chicago? #DaBears #Bears

@JoeGravino @FAmmiranteTFJ He definitely was the problem and there a reason Eric Bieniemy is back. To reestablish the run game. Nagy also had like one good year with the bears and wasted David Montgomery career.

The Giants have Matt Nagy coaching up an offense with a terrible group of WRs, since Malik Nabers isn't healthy. That's a massive yikes. This looks like an offense to fade in fantasy football.

@anthonyVslater We got a head coach who refuses to bend his philosophy. A GM who thinks he’s operating with fatigue and injury setting off. An owner who is willing to take a high-risk developmental player. Even though there is a player development issue.

@DubNationMedia @noslrl Yeah, reasonable, especially since Klay left. When Draymond has the rock, the only person he’s trying to get the rock to is Curry. Got to make it less obvious
