A lot of ppl doing “Fashion Tech/AI” rn have a concept of what they *think* fashion is— very few have a deep appreciation for the nuance of the craft’s process, and even fewer have a true technical background in fashion design.

In the abstract, technology in and of itself is not a solution to humanity’s problems, just as, in and of itself, it is not inherently evil. In practice, however, technology is never neutral, because it takes on the characteristics of those who devise it, finance it, regulate it and use it.

@kipperrii Self plug: current project is fundraising for launching a fashion+tech label that utilizes materials from the aerospace & quantum computing industries and reincorporates them into high-fashion pieces =D I have a fiscal sponsor at the ready as well !
