This post is from Joe Perry’s ( guitarist from Aerosmith) wife Billie. I can’t believe people and Mainstream media are still defending amber heard. John C. Depp deserves better #JohnnyDeppDeservesAnApology

The problem is never with the child. It’s with how they’re treated and taught. If a child isn’t learning the way they’re taught, it’s time to change how they’re taught instead of punishing the child for not learning.

Schools expect all children to fit in a tic box somewhere. If they don’t, they are treated unfairly, punished for behaviour they cannot help and told and made to feel that they are bad children

I always believed in him. I knew he could do it. I knew I was fighting a losing battle with school education. We both got tired of the constant battle and the fears for his safety. Looking back, I wish I’d home schooled him sooner

I didn’t listen. I pulled him out of school a few months later. Within months he was doing his lessons, melt/shut downs stopped, he made his first friend, stopped self harming and told me he no longer feels like he’s locked in a cage. He was 14 then. He still thanks me 2/2

I remember sitting in a meeting down the school with SENco, EP, LSA & lady from Ed dep. I was telling them I wanted to home school him and had found a small tuition centre I think will be better for him. They all told me it would do more harm. That it wasn’t structured enough 1/2

If I’ve learned something over the years, it’s to not take professionals words as gospel. My boy is proof they can get it horribly wrong

Too many don't understand difference between a child throwing a tantrum because can't have their way & a meltdown

I’m soooo very proud of him. I pulled him out of school in yr 9 and home schooled him. He is happier, calmer and healthier young man. Best thing I ever did for him. He even has friends now that he made down the bike park
