“I started with five hectares of land. There was no road. There was no light. I didn’t just build the infrastructure; I built the environment too.” That was how Paul Onwuanibe described the early days of Landmark Africa. What began on undeveloped waterfront land with little or no infrastructure has grown into one of Nigeria’s most recognizable real estate and hospitality developments.

Can states do more with the same resources? That is the question. Anambra State Governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, says if states are expected to take on bigger responsibilities like state policing, then Nigeria’s revenue-sharing formula should also change. His argument is simple. More responsibilities should come with more resources. Do you agree? Share your thoughts in the comments.
