@voludev
A platform to build, share, and discover spatial experiences.

We have some big changes in the pipeline, can’t wait to share. Until then here’s a quick look at some XR dev tools updates. A convenient toolbar follows as you work, and locks in place whenever you launch a tab. Stay tuned for more! #webxr #threejs #spatialcomputing #xr #js

We published react-three/xr 6.1 🎉 - WebXR Anchor API ⚓️ - experimental Emulator (iwer/devui) @felix_trz ❤️ - WebXR Hit Testing API 🎯 - WebXR DOM Overlay API 📱 ... and more

Hey we’re live on product hunt! TLDR: volu.dev is a toolkit for making webXR dev easier, and we’re starting with debugging! Some features: - quick connect to your headset from VS Code - XR native dev tools - platform agnostic! producthunt.com/posts/volu

happy to announce that i'm officially the cofounder and cto of just words (YC W24), and i've partnered with @neha01mittal, an ex-tweep! this is our billboard in times square :) some of you may know that i've been working on a startup recently, but the truth is that i've been tinkering on all sort of ideas with many different people over the past year. after twitter 2.0, i didn't see myself working at another big tech company again, and after seeing what chatgpt can do, i didn't see myself being a software engineer for much longer either. in october, i applied to yc with a friend, and going through the interview was the most excited i had felt in months. i actually printed out my rejection letter from @daltonc and pinned it on my wall so that i'd remember how it felt. eventually, i decided that i needed to quit my job and go all-in. without a clear idea of what i wanted to do, my first goal was to keep my github green and hack every day. it was a great period of pure exploration, and i learned how to do front-end with swift, c#, and javascript and eventually how to sell the things you build. in march, i was tremendously lucky in reconnecting with neha, and it has been amazing getting to work with someone as talented as her. we do have exciting news to share soon, but for now, i'll just say that we're hiring ;) finally, my startup adventure would not have been possible without the support of my beautiful, brilliant wife, Mei. she's building quantum computers for @IonQ_Inc , which is as cool as it sounds. it took 6 months and change, but it has been an exciting start to a new career.

We're launching volu.dev! a WebXR dev companion. We got tired of juggling ports and IPs, or untangling cables to debug something. So we moved all the essentials to the headset and built an extension to connect to it. Check it out here! marketplace.visualstudio.com/items?itemName…
