Yesterday, the Homa Bay Municipality People’s Adaptation - Local Physical and Land Use Development Plan—crafted by residents with support from @HomaBayCountyKE, @AkibaMtrust & GCA—was officially handed over for approval by the County Assembly! “The winds have become very strong, causing bigger waves that destroy lakefront houses. We are forced to place stones to keep our roofs in place,” says Steve, a fisherman on Ringiti Island in Lake Victoria. “Fishing has also become more difficult. He highlights how donor micromanagement, aimed at ensuring accountability, often backfires by creating unnecessarily long project pipelines. A sentiment shared by many Direct Access Entities.
