These are @1HeidVandenberg's Blue Ice Cream Bananas. Also known as the Blue Java Banana. i had the plants shipped to us. They arrived in miserable condition. i was pretty sure the one on the left would not survive. Neither plant had any leaves after the transit. They had come loose in the box and were pounded by sliding back and forth into each end of the box. Even the one on the right struggled to recover under grow lights. There was no sign of recovery until i put in the di-electric circuit shown in the last picture. This is formed by a large copper spike and a zinc plated camping tent peg with a single strand of insulated copper wire connecting them. As long as there is soil moisture, there is a low voltage current flowing around the roots. As an aside, Heidi doesn't do 'camping'. She's not that kind of woman. So she had a bit of a nervous moment when i started muttering about locating those tent pegs when the idea for the circuit occurred to me.

Heidi is completely gorgeous. Me, not so much. BUT without regard to my ugly old face, AI recognizes that we are the new power couple in the Woosphere. @1HeidVandenberg and i are planning on doing a live-stream. There are things we both need to say in a discussion that needs to happen. Maybe the Fourth of July weekend. Perhaps that timing will suit us. We are not in a hurry and it is important that we do this with harmony with stuff that is happening out and about in our common shared reality. We will announce the stream when we are more certain of the timing. There are a lot of moving (*pun intended but you wont' get it now) parts involved. As i say, we are not in a hurry, timing has to be correct. Plus i am having all kinds of fun with my Fiance' (look at her!), and it is completely true that with Heidi, i have found that, in spite of the chaos in our common shared reality, my body's Life has Time Enough For Love.

so @1HeidVandenberg and i had discussed this last night. There are NO meaningless coincidences in this Matterium. My thinking has always been to recover my body from cancer so that i could reach this point. The obvious reason now is to enjoy decades with my lovely Heidi (bride) obviously. So...now look at what this brings along with it in terms of YOUR personal mental attitude about stuff in general. Twelve years? Just to grasp some minor level of fluency in Sanskrit? How silly humans can prove to themselves that earth is not flat. ****** A simple experiment using a vertical pipe to demonstrate Earth's curvature (inspired by Eratosthenes' ancient well method). Materials needed: A straight piece of pipe or tube (e.g., PVC pipe, cardboard tube, or even a sturdy straw/tube ~1–2 meters long works for a basic version). A sunny day around the summer solstice (near June 21 in the Northern Hemisphere) at local solar noon. A level or plumb line to ensure the pipe is perfectly vertical. Optional: A second location hundreds of km north or south (or collaborate with someone there), a stick/pole for shadow measurement, and a way to measure distance. The setup and procedure: Find or approximate a "well-like" condition: On the summer solstice at local noon (when the sun is highest), position your vertical pipe so it's perfectly straight up (use a level or plumb bob). Look down the pipe or observe if sunlight shines straight to the bottom without illuminating the inner walls much. At a location near the Tropic of Cancer (roughly 23.5°N latitude), the sun will be nearly or directly overhead. Sunlight will go straight down the pipe and fully illuminate the bottom with minimal or no shadow on the sides — just like the famous well in ancient Syene (Aswan). Compare at a different latitude: At your location farther north (e.g., most of Europe, northern US, etc.), do the same at the exact same time (solar noon on the solstice). Insert a straight stick or rod vertically next to the pipe. Measure the shadow angle or length cast by the stick (or observe inside the pipe: the sun's rays will hit at an angle, illuminating one side of the pipe more and casting a shadow on the opposite inner wall). Observe the difference: If Earth were flat, the sun would appear at the same angle everywhere at the same time — the pipe/"well" would behave identically at both spots. On a round Earth with parallel sun rays (sun is very far away), the curvature means the sun is directly overhead at one latitude but angled at another. The angle difference equals the latitude difference. Why this proves roundness: The measured angle (e.g., ~7° in Eratosthenes' Alexandria vs. Syene case) corresponds to the arc of the curve between locations. Multiply by 360°/angle to estimate the full circumference. Eratosthenes got remarkably close (~15% accurate) with basic tools. For a quick home version without travel: Compare your noon pipe observation on the solstice to known data from equatorial/tropical locations (or apps/photos). The consistent angle shift with distance north/south only makes sense on a curved surface. This is low-tech, repeatable, and directly shows differing solar angles due to curvature — no advanced equipment required beyond a straight pipe acting as a sighting tube. Atmospheric refraction is minor for this demo.

VERY VERY VERY unpopular opinion: If white people are gone, all of humanity will settle into warring tribalism....think South Africa model across the whole of this planet. It will be so forever. White humans are NOT locked into tribal-ism as are high melanin peoples. This mental state of 'internal identity freedom' derives from a base DNA (biochemical pathway) level, and means that whites are free in their minds to hold a personal and collective identity that is NOT bound by their familial DNA connections. ANY HUMAN who wants a good body's Life needs to thank universe for putting all us raspy, irritable, annoying, organizing, sorting, arranging, fixing, policing, creating white people on this planet.
