VRE protocol update. Outcome Standard V1.2.1 isolated non-local matrix: 120/120 passed. Scale up to 100,001 participants validated. Linked chain architecture evaluated and closed. Here is the summary:

Current status: reviewer-validated isolated non-local scale line. Not production. Not canonical. Not live. Canonical program 9tEram... unchanged throughout.

Architecture question resolved: linked chain vs claim hash. Linked chain breaks atomicity and adds a state machine without improving the trust model. Claim hash stays: winner_count + winner_claim_hash on-chain (70 bytes). Full list reconstructed from snapshot.

Now evaluating the next question: Can a linked series of transactions make winner publication more self-contained on-chain? The architecture compares claim hash, chunked event-log publication, and PDA-backed storage. Design phase open.

End-to-end Irys publication validated. Participant snapshot → Merkle root on-chain → artifact published to Arweave. Proof API: any participant checks inclusion with a Merkle proof — no full snapshot download required.

VRE post-hackathon update. Two new Outcome Standards shipped. Real Irys publication validated. Winner claim hash fix landed. Now: designing linked on-chain winner publication. Here is what changed and why:

V1.2 Stage 2 hit a Solana encoding limit. Sending winners_count=32 as Vec<[u8;64]> in instruction args = ~2112 bytes. Solution: commit winner_claim_hash only (70 bytes). Replay reconstructs full list from snapshot, verifies hash. That is Outcome Standard V1.2.1. 15/15 passed.

For future hackathons, what if we required all participants to stake 1 SOL along with their product submission? If the submission was determined to be in the bottom 50%, your deposit would get slashed. For startups in the top 50%, their deposit would be returned.
