Toward full unbiasability for on-chain outcomes. We built the real circuit — a Wesolowski VDF verified inside a Groth16 SNARK — and measured it ourselves instead of guessing from a back-of-envelope. ~14.5M constraints. Proof generated once per draw, off-chain. On-chain verify stays cheap. No oracles. Measure the gate, then build.

Exactly — a lot of designs get the reveal right but hand finalization to the operator anyway. Clean cryptography, trusted last step. We kept hitting that. Even with permissionless sealing, it's still economic pressure, not a guarantee. The real fix seems to be removing the operator from the finalization path entirely, not just making their misbehavior costly. What approaches have you seen that actually got this right?

@voutcomeengine The reveal-to-finalization window is the part most randomness designs quietly wave away. Handling it at the protocol level instead of trusting the operator to behave might indeed turn out the right framing!

Unicorn-G is our path to fully unbiasable randomness for high-value on-chain draws. Most randomness systems still leave one dangerous window: someone may see or influence the entropy source before the final outcome is fixed. In Solana terms, future slot data is useful, but a producer can still have last-look advantage. Unicorn-G removes that advantage by adding delay. The protocol takes the slot-derived seed, runs it through a verifiable delay function, and then verifies the result on-chain with a Groth16 proof. In simple terms: seed → delay → proof → verified randomness The key property is timing: the seed may be visible, but the final randomness cannot be known inside the short block-production window. By the time the VDF output is available, the opportunity to bias the slot has passed. That is the strength of Unicorn-G: - no trusted randomness oracle - no backend choosing the winner - no “trust us” entropy - delayed randomness to neutralize last-look - compact proof checked on-chain - deterministic replay for anyone We have already built and measured the core path: RSA-2048 Wesolowski circuit, Groth16 proof generation, raw on-chain verifier, and local proof validation. The remaining work is engineering optimization for production compute, not proving whether the idea is feasible. VRE v1.4.1 — two opt-in fees, zero operator control: → entry fee at registration → skim on rent when the draw closes Both land in one protocol treasury. No operator can redirect them, skip them, or change them mid-draw. Measured on devnet: • 90% rent back to owners, 10% to treasury — exact to the lamport • batch close: 2 tickets, 18,459 CU • 9/9 bypass attempts rejected The randomness never changes.
