A lot of people are just socially anxious too and being able to read that and disengage can help people feel more comfortable with u too, can't tell u how many times I approach someone for convo at a con, realize they don't want to chat and respectfully disengage, then they actually approach me for convo next time they see me at a con

I wanna learn how to converse and small talk better but don’t really know where to start. I feel like I need to trust myself to just try and talk to people more. What’s usually going through your mind when creating small talk?

@dreamymiyu Being casually/naturally friends with people is a situational thing that depends on stuff like ur job, where u live, etc. and if it's not just kinda happening then u will have to put some effort into being friends with anyone and that's super normal in modern society

how do i casually and naturally become friends with people... i always feel like i'm forcibly inserting myself into everyone's lives until they eventually get used to having me around 🫣❔

@solemn193 just don't sleep for a few years and u can fit making cosplays into ur schedule

@voymay I wish I had time and energy to put into cosplay... Or a multitude of other crafts.... Wdym I can only sustain like 4 active hobbies at a time

I don't participate in cosplay contests because I don't get to put nearly enough time into cosplay crafting to make anything that showcases my actual skill level, but I wish I did because contests are a fantastic way to meet other skilled cosplayers and improve your craft.

@danisaurzx Thanks, I do try to put care into what I can but I really do have to rush, and cut sooo many corners, and leave out sooo many details I wish I could add to ever get anything ready to wear at events... 😭
