@_megaanmac @vrbo I had a VRBO not approve my booking for a weekend in freaking middle of nowhere WY when I said we were coming in for a funeral. So we booked a hotel suite the next town over that was bigger than his little shack anyways.

Booked and prepaid nearly $2,000 for a beachfront 🏖️ spring break condo through @vrbo. But 🚫. Got 👻 Instead of being at the beach, my daughter, my dog, and I are now in a budget motel an hour away in a small Mississippi town—because when we arrived, the condo keypad didn’t work, the condo’s host was unresponsive, and @vrbo left us to figure it out on our own. I spent 2 hours on the phone with #VrboCustomerService being transferred from one agent to another, then to managers, and the only thing anyone consistently offered was, “I’m so sorry.” No solution. Sorry didn’t unlock the door. 🚪 Sorry didn’t get us inside. 🔑 Sorry didn’t help when there was no public restroom nearby and, after waiting outside that long, there was an accident. I was told over and over that if @vrbo could just reach the condo’s host, the issue should be resolved. My daughter finally asked me if the condo’s host was a ghost 👻 because that’s exactly what this felt like: I paid in full, we showed up for spring break, and then got ghosted. What makes this even worse is that Vrbo advertises that they will help “find you another place to stay.” When I brought that up, I was told that “wasn’t available.” So after taking off work, driving 7 hours, and paying almost $2,000 for a beachfront condo, we ended up with a budget motel and continental breakfast an hour from the beach. The lowest point was hearing my daughter cry 😭 yesterday, because she thought we might have to sleep in our car. And even after all of this, @vrbo still has not followed up with me. No real solution ever came. No urgency. No concern for how a single mom traveling alone with her young daughter and a large dog was supposed to suddenly find safe accommodations in a place she had never been before. This was not just inconvenient. It was stressful and completely unacceptable. Companies advertise that they provide safe, reliable accommodations—but when it actually matters, all we got were scripted apologies. The fact is, I paid for a beachfront spring break and we were left stranded. #VRBONeverAgain

And put us In a location with a broken bed frame, mold in the shower and hair in the drain plus my wife and I felt unsafe. I contacted @Vrbo and they gave me the run around along with the Resort and refused any refund. Be careful when you book with VRBO and double check resorts

Just saw a VRBO commercial showing a family finding out the hot tub doesn’t work and VRBO relocated them. This is false advertising. My wife and I booked with VRBO at a resort in Florida and had conformation but when we got to the resort they changed our confirmed reservation

Don’t understand why I can’t cancel my @vrbo in tel aviv for a full refund given the war. I booked it months ago before the conflict, all flights are cancelled so I can’t get there and VRBO is only letting me get half my deposit back, so I’m losing $11K. Shouldn’t you have a policy for refund given these kinds of unique circumstances? I’m certain @Airbnb does.
