@RSCNY13069 @Crazymoments01 yup. AI! I wanted to believe that a real dog got saved but instead of putting in the effort to actually make a difference for a real dog, this account creates face clips for bait. they should be cancelled.

His name is Storm. He came to Mountain Ridge Shelter in February 2015 as a six-month-old stray - adopted within a month, returned seven weeks later for "destroying furniture." Adopted again in late 2015, back by spring 2016 because "neighbors complained he was too vocal." One more adoption in 2017, returned within six weeks for being "too high-energy for our kids."
After that, people stopped looking at the growing Husky mix. His energy calmed as he aged, his face went completely gray, and he lived in kennel #8 for ten years.
Yesterday, Thomas, 48, who'd just lost his own Husky of sixteen years last September, walked in. Staff tried showing him younger, healthier dogs with fewer behavior issues. Thomas refused all of them and asked specifically: "Which dog has waited here the absolute longest without being chosen?"
We brought out Storm. Thomas knelt beside him, looked at his entirely gray face, and said: "Ten years in a kennel. That's over right now." He signed everything immediately and walked out with Storm that afternoon.
Ten years is 3,650 days behind chain-link and concrete. The wait is finally over. It's never too late for an American shelter dog to finally be chosen.

@brendanmjones I just sent an email (partial posted here). I hope Snuggles will come home soon 😢 #SaveSnuggles

English

Fact: Snuggles has been locked up for nine months, nearly half his life.
Fact: The family has had to pay Pima County nearly $20,000 in boarding fees.
Fact: Snuggles has had only one biting incident and it occurred on his own property and involved a family member who desperately wants Snuggles to be returned.
Fact: At the time of the incident, Snuggles was agitated because of predators trying to intrude onto the property where he protected his animals. It was not simple aggression.
Fact: Snuggles is a livestock guardian dog, bred to be protective. He lives on a small ranch where he guards farm animals. He was doing his job.
Fact: Snuggles was an intact male at the time of the incident. Neutering Snuggles would almost certainly prevent any similar incidents from occurring in the future.
Fact: This is a great family. I know them personally now.
This dog and this family do not deserve to live through any more of this hell.

When my husband took Snuggles out of his truck my kids and I were immediately attached. He was indeed the sweetest boy. He was very shy, you could tell he missed his family. Our female kept trying to get him to chase her but he just sat there calm and watched her run around

@Axaxia88 There are no HUMANE SOCIETIES in these countries and my heart breaks that some are harshly treated while hurting.
THANK YOU KIND SIR.

@Axaxia88 This man runs an equine emergency centre in Egypt... he's an incredible saviour for the horses there who are treated abominably.. he pays for the horses he physically removes from their abusive owners & rescues those that are dumped & left to die
A good man.

She's been at our shelter since 2013. Eleven years. Every person who met her said she was wonderful. Every person walked past her kennel and chose a younger dog. She stopped coming to the front of her kennel a few years ago. Stopped performing. Made a quiet peace with being where she was." Last Tuesday a veteran came in. He said — "I need a calm dog. I'm still learning how to be still myself." I showed him three dogs. He was putting his jacket on to leave. He stopped outside kennel seven. Luna looked at him from her bed. Didn't perform. Didn't come to the front. Just looked at him the way she looks at people when she decides they're worth seeing. He said — "Can I sit with her?" He sat on the concrete floor at her level. Not the bench. The floor. That was 11am. At 3pm I looked in. He was still there. Her white muzzle was in his hand. Their breathing had synchronized. At 3:15 he came to the front desk and said — "I'd like to take her home. I think we need each other." I excused myself to the back room and sat on an overturned bucket and cried for a long time. He texted me yesterday — "First time I've slept through the night in three years. I think she was saving that for me." She was. Eleven years of saving it. For one Tuesday. For him. Drop a ❤️ for Luna. Share this for every senior dog still waiting for their Tuesday. They're saving everything they have for the right person to walk through that door.
