Our @CBSSacramento crew is now in Myers, CA. Where the #CaldorFire is active. The wind is moving this fire extremely quickly. The good news is fire crews are on scene doing what they can to defend the area.

Heading east on 50 towards South #LakeTahoe to cover the #CaldorFire Pulled over after this plume of smoke exploded into the sky. @CBSSacramento

#CaldorFire 8/30/2021 - 6pm intel Here is aerial mapping of the fire's spread into Christmas Valley at 6:00 pm and around the Echo Summit area.

@WashoeSheriff This map is not accurate, it ahow the fire shifted east and in the basin where it is not.
