@RitmoNba El arbitraje tiene mucho que ver. Varios cobros dudosos al final a favor de okc aprovechando que el mal arbitraje hizo que SAS pierda sus challenges (todos ganados). Hartestein tiene via libre para hacer lo que quiera por ejemplo? Hasta le tiro del pelo a castle.

Para San Antonio, el objetivo cumplido de robar la ventaja de localía, y la tranquilidad de que sin Fox, sin Harper y con un juego complicado en general, llegaron al “clutch” en el último minuto. La conclusión es la de siempre: la serie es parejísima, y se va a definir por detalles.

Le hizo mucho precio el Thunder a Spurs. Gana por 11 habiendo sido muy superior. Logró que el juego sea muy físico a su favor. Gran trabajo de Hartenstein, que se molió a golpes con Wembanyama en la pintura y limitó su impacto.

@MaxiYTBasket El tema es que a algunos jugadores les cobran popas, y a otros les permiten defender asi. Igualmente jugando físico o no, en esa jugada le hace 4 faltas a castle.

Viven rompiendo las bolas porque ya no se juega físico y las defensas de antes eran mejores, y cuando aparece algún equipo que juega físico e intenta defender fuerte chillan porque es contra su equipo, quien los entiende...

@Spurs_Latam No solo eso, en el ataque siguiente le cobran ofensiva a wemby cuando el defensor que se planta para sacar la ofensiva claramente se esta moviendo hacia adelante.

Vas a ver a todos quejándose por las tapas de Wemby, pero ayer en pleno último cuarto los árbitros consideraron que esto fue falta de Castle. Randle lo agarra, se apoya sobre él y lo empuja, pero es falta de Castle. Y fue la 5ta para dejarlo prácticamente fuera.

What a win for the Wolves, upsetting the Spurs in Ant's shocking return by locking up San Antonio's half-court offense and beating them down through Randle's post-ups. This was the moment the experience factor came into play, as the Spurs looked like they could not find their half-court identity and Wembanyama struggled to create good looks until the very end.

43-16 Spurs are way ahead of schedule, and are contenders but there are areas Spurs must improve over the final two months to reach another level: 📕 - Half court execution is the biggest one. The Spurs do not struggle to create advantages with Vic/Fox and especially with Steph and Harper. The issue is converting those advantages. That means finishing possessions, making the best read and limiting turnovers. This is where Devin/Julian are extremely important. They are low turnover connectors who can knock down the kick swing three, can make the kick swing passes but also attack and make the right secondary decision when the shot is not there and when they have to play PG against a closeout. Spurs often win the first phase of the possession against set defenses, but they do not consistently retain the advantage. They generate high quality looks but convert below their expected eFG% and turn the ball over more than other contenders. Fox and Vic also have stretches in the half court where they are not getting to their best spots as frequently as Steph and Harper, even though both are highly skilled shot makers. Relying on difficult pull ups from two core pillars is not an ideal playoff formula. The focus has to be getting Vic and Fox into actions on the move more so they reach the best spots earlier in the possession. Vic tightening his turnover rate in on ball situations is part of that growth. The combination of Steph/Harper still working toward finishing advantages at a higher efficiency clip while limiting turnovers, paired with Vic and Fox taking more contested jumpers versus set defenses is why Spurs sit below average in half court PPP and in the lower third of the league in late clock PPP. Late clock offense and overall half court execution remain the clearest areas for improvement right now. They are below league average in both categories. Where the edges/advantages currently are: Spurs create advantages at a high level because of their big talented primary guards plus Fox, which leads to strong shot profile with paint attempts, semi transition opportunities, and corner threes. Defensively they hold a major edge because of how they limit strong shot profiles better than most. Elite perimeter defense combined with Vic’s presence reduces opponent paint touches, lowers overall shot quality, and allows for shorter cleaner rotations that help limit corner threes. The advantages are clear, but they have to improve their half court offense & late clock offense to smash their way to the Larry.
