I planted the seeds for a world class #RajeevMotwaniInstitute for AI Research at IIM Ahmedabad last week. If all goes well we should have this up and running very shortly. My dream : to help India leapfrog on AI, just like we did in mobile communications in the 1980s. The opportunity is huge. And we the Indian diaspora in Silicon Valley can make it happen if we join forces. I would like to thank Professors Chinmay Tumbe and Ankur Sinha for their incredible enthusiasm. Grateful also to Priyanka Chopra of IIMA ventures for her help and entrepreneurial energy. Ideas & suggestions welcome. PS : these gorgeous student hostels I once lived in are now empty because of not being up to earthquake code. I hope they can fix the situation without bringing down these amazing buildings.
