@Drewbhdm @Tgarratt10 So if you’re from Brum and you support Villa over Birmingham City are you a glory hunter? If you’re from West London and you choose Chelsea over Fulham are you a glory hunter? Or maybe your grandpa was a glory hunter?

@vsopvision @Tgarratt10 You’re missing the point. These people didn’t “choose” their club. They don’t care if their team doesn’t win anything, they will always support their local. You complaining about them supporting a team that wins nothing just proves the glory supporter’s mindset - cope

@QpRambles @GoatedAdel I 100% agree w/ these rules being applied to people who are English. I don’t understand being from England & rooting for a club hours away when you have a club closer you can physically watch and support. I just think it’s silly to apply these rules to foreign fans.

@h3rry_45 @Tgarratt10 I mean that’s literally them supporting their dad’s club lol I thought that was one of the main rules? Do you expect a Nigerian man who started watching football in the 70s to support Watford?

@vsopvision @Tgarratt10 That is an interesting case study, and probably a question for someone from Nottingham. That however is a lot more nuanced than some of the arguments on here, such as “my dads from Africa and supported Manchester United, does that make me a glory hunter?”

@QpRambles @GoatedAdel So you just think they shouldn’t support any club from a different country? Why would they have more of a connection to a smaller club? They’re never going to meet somebody else who follows them, they’ll hardly be on television, there’s not as much media, I don’t get it.

@h3rry_45 @Tgarratt10 I don’t disagree with local/match attending fans being the soul of the club. But question, if you’re from Nottingham and choose Forest over Notts are you a glory hunter?

@vsopvision @Tgarratt10 They still chose one of the most successful clubs in Europe. There is nothing wrong with being a glory hunter, you still support your club in your own way, but those local fans are the life and soul of the clubs.

@QpRambles @GoatedAdel I think/hope you get what I mean. It’s not surprising foreign fans pick big clubs, that’s why they’re big clubs. They’re more available to watch, more content, videos, podcasts, etc about them. Would you call a Brit a glory hunter for following the NBA over their basketball team?

@DarkOfTheMovie 1. I support Forest up and down the country, been supporting them since I can remember and I could’ve easily chosen someone like Man Utd or Chelsea or Arsenal etc. but supporting Forest runs deep in my blood and I travel up and down the country (and Europe this year)

If you love & support a club it doesn’t matter where you’re from. I’m American but I’ve been religiously watching Chelsea since 2014, learned our history and I’ve gotten to visit the Bridge twice. I’d be damned if someone said I wasn’t a real fan😭
Zac Djellab@ZacDjellab

"You have no connection to that club..." @Tgarratt10 argues that football means more when you support your local team.

@QpRambles @GoatedAdel This makes no sense because the guy in the video supports his dad’s team lmao so did that west London guy who likes Liverpool. I understand holding this rule to English families, but expecting somebody with an African or Asian dad to support QPR is silly.
