Worth noting that Powell previously served as chair pro tem after the end of his last chair term four years ago because President Biden renominated him relatively late in the game and then the Senate took a bit to get around to confirming him.

Fed Chair Powell confirms he would stay on as Fed chair pro tem if Kevin Warsh isn't confirmed by the time Powell's term as chair ends. Also adds: "I have no intention of leaving the board until the investigation is well and truly over."
