Hi maybe this is a stupid question but why do Vtubers usually put “ch” in their name? I assume it means “channel” but why put channel in the channel name? I’ve been watching Vtubers for like 6 years and I always wondered ☠️

@_barCintamani Hi. Use Aegisub. We made it 20+ years ago to make anime fansubbing easier. While it doesn't really get updated any longer, it also doesn't need to, it's still among the best.

surely... surely there must be a faster way to subtitle a song than to enter each line and time it by hand... surely..........

@onolumi I do wonder how much it's something that can be trained. I think in school we had music classes, where the teacher would count the beat of a tune he played on piano, and everyone should then clap along to the beat, with a different motion on the one-beat too.

@shiten_room So often you run into situations where the licensing agreements between the Japanese publisher and the overseas publisher are restricted to some regions, and then suddenly there's nobody who will let you buy a manga (digital release), even if you want to.

@shiten_room Very little manga has been translated to and released in Danish. The major publishers pretty much gave up on the market around 15-18 years ago, and everyone has to use English or German versions now. And especially English online services might be geo-locked!
