A man will calibrate how much he will spend on a woman depending on her perceived value. There are three basic tiers. Cheesecake Factory, Ruth's Chris, Nobu. If you are in the essentially free tier classification like Starbucks, you are not wife material.
Joseph Kahn@JosephKahn

The average date for Gen Z costs $200 and men are reluctant to spend it. They do 10 dates a year which is $2k or 3-5% of the average Gen Z income. Listen you cheap bastards, $2k a year is a tiny amount to spend on a pairing that could affect the rest of your life. Suck it up, skibidi. Six seven.

@AVARY Very odd that a congresswoman came out to confirm this before the police or family/friends.

Michael Douglas bullied 6 year old Ellen Latzen to get the desired reaction shot out of her for this scene in "Fatal Attraction" (1987). She was standing with "Uni"- her stuffed Unicorn doll. She was instructed not to speak. Michael Douglas came up to her and said, "Look at that stupid unicorn. I’m going to throw it in the garbage” and he started yelling. After he said that, she started crying and held the doll tighter. Director Adrian Lyne then yelled, "Cut". Michael Douglas immediately ran to Ellen, held her and said, "I am sorry". In an interview in 2017, Douglas said, ""I felt pretty guilty. But you've got to do what you've got to do." ("‘Fatal Attraction’ Oral History: Rejected Stars and a Foul Rabbit", Bruce Fretts, The New York Times, 2017)

OKC is the first team to have the best record in back-to-back seasons since the Bucks in 2019 and 2020 ⚡️ The Thunder are trying to be the first team since the Bulls in 1996 and 1997 to have the best record in back-to-back seasons AND win the NBA title in both 👀

Before Sunrise is unwatchable because it's so good. It's such a beautiful encapsulation of young iPhoneless love, shot on analog film, a nineties time machine of a mysterious Europe that no longer exists, you feel like you are dying as you watch it.

The most terrifying age is 40. Not because you’re getting old or have some grey hair, but because your perception of time completely changes. At 40, life is f*cking serious. If you have kids and don’t work hard, they starve and end up getting a bad education. You also see the difference between those who f*cked around and figured it out and those that settled for mediocre. The stark difference will rip your face off. A person who could have done a lot and didn’t by 40 has wasted the best years of their life. It’s sad to see. By 40, the lifestyle you chose becomes obvious. Your hair turns grey or falls out if you abuse your body. You end up with a pot belly if you eat like sh*t. If you don’t go to the gym you have no energy. Something else happens. Your parents either die or have multiple near-misses. You start to realise they will be dead one day and you’re in charge of your bloodline. This responsibility weighs on you. Even cooler, the knob heads in high school who made fun of you or thought they were cool are not modern day losers. They work dead end jobs and watch sports with a beer to numb their pain. They don’t dare f*ck with your aura anymore. Pessimism can often set in to. You start to obsess over news and politics. You think the government will save you or that billionaires are evil for doing what you refused to do. Jealousy gets ugly. It becomes a realise valve. The best place to deploy it is on social media. You rage post comments calling stuff scams and trying to discredit people. But it doesn’t work. People ignore you because they know you’re a little b*tch. For many people, 40 becomes a moment of either radical transformation or a slow decline. The crazy part isn’t turning 40. It’s realizing how much time you wasted being trapped by fear.

I'm accused of having right wing followers. Honestly, cool. At the same time it's not true. I have followers of all political spectrums including none at all. I'm not really a political tweeter. I just make random observations you are free to insult. Whatever makes you happy.

Boots on the ground would be bad but I'd understand it. Unilateral TACO is understandable but an admission of failure (even if Trump claims victory) "We'll keep doing this the same for now but leave in 2-3 weeks" is... just a weird way to telegraph your intentions? What's solved in 2-3 more weeks on this?

I've never blamed studios for not giving me a second shot after Torque because I'm Asian American. There are plenty of Asian American directors that are successful in movies. I obviously have my own level of success in videos and ads. I would like to make more studio movies movies. I think I'm just too good looking for Hollywood executives. Mad jealous of the rizz.

@joelvmoran This is actually what Jerry West advocated as well. On a similar note, Phil Jackson also mentioned that the NBA send their own referees to officiate games, so when an anticipated playoff series comes around, it doesn't surprise some that they always end in a 7 game series.

The NBA’s solution to tanking is simple. Stop rigging the lottery. It’s not a coincidence that: - Spurs got Wemby - Mavericks got Flagg - Pelicans got Zion after trading AD The worst team getting the best picks is the way to go but the NBA wants to dictate what players go where.
