This is exactly what is wrong with our political space today. Disagreement is normal. Support whoever you like — that’s your right. But dragging people’s families and raining curses on them over politics is not activism, it is toxicity and cyberbullying. Tagging and attacking someone like Akin Alabi with such words crosses the line from political expression into harassment. There is nothing democratic about that. We cannot keep normalizing this kind of behavior and expect a healthy society. Today it is insults and curses — tomorrow it escalates into real-world hostility. Freedom of speech is not freedom to abuse. Politics is not war. People must learn to argue with facts, ideas, and maturity — not emotions and curses. And yes, this kind of conduct should not be ignored. If we truly want a better society, then accountability must apply both offline and online. Do better
