It’s not something he needs to do in most cases - but you just feel, after how this season ended and KH about to start his first full season, there’s a real warmth and belief surrounding the club. It feels that there’s a real opportunity there to connect again.

Kids had a great weekend. Daughter finally got to go to Wembley, and the boy got to spend his birthday today in his favourite city.
His review - “Dad, that stadium was massive, wish they were all like that”.
Losing at Wembley is a rite of passage for any young #Boro fan 👧👦🔴

(1/4) As tough as yesterday was for #Boro, reality is they weren’t ready to go up. Team faded at the end of the season due to lack of depth and overreliance on certain players. Also, not a squad which was assembled for the high intensity, possession-based style Hellberg wants.

Whilst we all wanted promotion today & riches it brings… I’d take Championship over PL any day - VAR, clinical stadiums, tourists, rubbish KO times. Also, doesn’t matter what league you’re in, you just want to see your team play well/win. PL can be truly miserable - ask Wolves

Although it hurts, it doesn’t hurt as much as it could have. It was a second shot due to Saints cheating. Hull were the only side to win both their semi final and final, so fair play to them. Still proud of how my club has conducted itself through it all. Time for a break.

That’s 3 bites of the cherry now - Automatics, play-offs and the play-off final. Came short three times.
It doesn’t matter how many attempts you get at it when the structural issues remain - no No9, nothing on the bench, goakeeper is a liability.
