Perhaps the most bizarre news of the month, or the year:
Former Featherstone CEO Martin Vickers is now working for the Bradford Bulls. Unsurprisingly, quite a few ex-Fev, Toronto and Salford players, fans and others aren't pleased.

@GaryOrmiston1@SuperLeague@SkySportsRL Come on Gary - we know they are no longer interested. Can’t show live games much & the + service is woeful. Hopefully another provider gets the rights next year onwards
Considering @SuperLeague is 30 this weekend Have @SkySportsRL not put any classic games on to wet the appetite, would have been good to see games from yesteryear, another missed opportunity I guess
Breaking: Press release from Salford:
'The Salford RLFC board and Head Coach, Mike Grady, have mutually agreed to part ways due to changes in his personal circumstances. We are forever indebted to Mike for his unwavering commitment to the club. We want to thank him for all his hard work since taking on the role as Head Coach in very challenging circumstances in December.
Ryan Brierley commented: ‘Mike came in as Coach at a time when the club had just come through one of its toughest times with the double impact of relegation and liquidation. He was willing to roll up his sleeves and bring stability to the club on the pitch. The fact we were able to field a team against Oldham in January, after only three weeks, speaks volumes about his commitment and determination. To beat Hunslet at home only four weeks later was a fantastic achievement.
'Mike will always be remembered as the person that strived and achieved the objective of sending out the first Salford team of this new era. A team running onto the pitch, after so much hard work, gave us all something to cheer about. We also remember how well he successfully guided our women’s team to third and fourth place finishes in the Championship.’
Mike Grady said: ‘I want to thank Ryan for the opportunity to represent this great club and fan base. What we created at the start of the year was pretty special and I’m proud to have built that. I’m happy to leave the club in a better place than I found it and wish the club all the best for the future.’
The club has started the search for Mike’s successor and wants to make an appointment as quickly as possible to maintain stability and continue the team’s growth. In the interim, Assistant Coach, Dave Hewitt, will take over the responsibility for the team.'
@GaryOrmiston1 Everyone has an opinion - hoping for a close game. Wigan seem to struggle at BV so should be interesting but fully expecting field or French to be unexpectedly back
@wakey_jon Fair enough pal, hope it comes off he would be good for the Wakey club/community,may the best side win in three weeks when we face off on the cup
