I bought an Honor android phone! 😆 Just for the 512 GB storage, and I can use it to edit videos or reels just on my mobile phone. It is so cheap nowadays, and quite performant as well with the 8 GB RAM + 8 GB virtual memory!

@raymond_naguit + Siargao. PH gov’t has to focus on those 3 and improve the infrastructure, esp Siargao for the airport and flight connectivity. Also entry point should be direct to those places, not from Manila. Just my opinion. We cannot sacrifice all of our islands for mass tourism.

@raymond_naguit To your point, other ASEAN countries are making mass tourism their bread and butter. Thailand, Vietnam for instance. Their economy depends on it. PH on the other hand has challenges with mass tourism being an archipelago. We already have world renowned Boracay and Palawan.

HK and BKK aren’t that cheap, either. You have choices, though. Hostels for solo traveler (btw hostels aren’t cheap in HK), or 2–3 stars hotel for couples or groups. Food varies, but you have street food in both. I’ve only been to Hanoi VN and I found the prices were reasonable.

I always feel like this condo is a death trap dependency, but I like living independently, on my own space and pace, in none other than the capital.
After ~6.5 years I can decide to live somewhere else. And I don’t even know the resale value of this little box.

I’m saving 36.5% of my income, but 16% of it is for travel. But this year I still have a remaining fund for travel which is about equivalent to that 16%.
No one knows how disciplined I am with finances.
But the biggest uncertainty is that I’m paying 26% for my condo mortgage.
