So Abba Kabir Yusuf is seen as a betrayer because he left Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and joined the ruling All Progressives Congress.
But Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, who served as deputy governor to Ganduje for 8 years and even contested under the APC in 2023 with Ganduje’s backing, is now seen as a hero because he left the APC.
Interesting how narratives change depending on who is involved. We all know what we are doing. 😂

As far as many Kano elders are concerned, Kwankwasiyya is the place you go to a year before elections to team up with radical youths to exact revenge on your enemies. Once you get that, you remember you are too big to be a mere follower of Jagora and leave Kwankwasiyya.

Kano First” is purely political. That is why I don’t take the governor seriously with this new slogan. What we are seeing is his interest first, not Kano’s. It took the governor hours to arrive at Singer Market after the fire inferno, despite the massive damage recorded. If Kano truly came first in all his actions, he would not have issued a statement announcing the sacking of Buba Galadima as Chairman of the Kano Polytechnic Governing Council at such a critical moment. That was not the problem of the day. It was a major PR blunder.

I am not holding a brief for Sen. Rabiu Kwankwaso, but I genuinely wonder how his name appeared there. All the time I have known him and throughout his service as Governor, Minister of Defence, Senator and now as a political leader, he has consistently taken a firm stance against terrorism and terrorists in all forms.

You want to fight terrorism in Nigeria, and the only politician you could think of sanctioning is Kwankwaso?
Maybe Riley Moore had his feelings hurt and decided to act like a child. No one will take the Americans serious if this what they actually have to offer.
There are sponsors of terrorism all over this country, some known, some are suspects, some no one has an idea. But certainly Kwankwaso fits in none of those slots, this is beyond ridiculous.
