Is the same relentless willpower and drive that propelled Tiger to 15 majors is now consuming him, leading him down dark paths? #TigerWoods #MentalHealth #SportsPsychology #PersonalStruggle #Comeback

@kylecorwintakes No - don't do the shit that you know will get you ejected either way - act like a fucking human even when you are disappointed
English

@smburns Downtown recovery is based on crime control.
The DFL has no interest in crime control. They’re actually with the criminals.
English

@AyersRefTracker is this real, some of the movements make it look AI
English

@DanKelley66 @jkjohnson1969 @MLB @JomboyMedia sportswriter AND researcher?!? probably should have researched a little on the rules of the sport
English

@jkjohnson1969 @MLB @JomboyMedia I'm not even saying he got the call wrong. But why refuse to check? If the base umpire was not positive, they are not going to overturn it.
English

Why didn't CB Bucknor check with the 1st base umpire on the check swing? Because he let his ego get in the way of doing his job as well as he could. Added an Alex Cora ejection to make matters worse. This behavior is inexcusable @MLB.

@MarkEMarkNJ They got an 11 instead of a 6.
Then they got a 9 instead of a 1.
Overlooked yes.
Really good yes.
Also this path is insane.
English

@Mikejon11642074 @thedaddybandito @Zigmanfreud exactly at this point just call them all - why wait for a challenge
English

@thedaddybandito @Zigmanfreud If you want accuracy over all else why do we have the umpire calling balls and strikes at all? Why are we limiting challenges
English

I hate bad umpiring as much as anyone, but is this really better for the sport in the long run?
1) You can no longer immediately celebrate a called 3rd strike without fear of it being overturned
2) What kind of losers are going to dedicate their lives to being umpires now?!
🤮
Jeff Passan@JeffPassan
There are moments that offer a pretty good sense that something new is going to work. This feels like one for ABS. The Cincinnati crowd’s reaction was thunderous. And the situation itself — twice it salvaged a bases-loaded opportunity. This system plays.
English

@thedaddybandito @Zigmanfreud just replace pitchers that can throw strikes every pitch, and someone that strikes out?!? bring in a robot
English

@Zigmanfreud Screw accuracy! That's what you are saying right?
English

@MNHockeyDog its like Iowa and Nebraska in the sweet sixteen - there are no winners

@RaidersGBB @DomMirandaTV I understand your apprehension, coming from a state where the shot clock was recently added - while there is an initial cost the operation gets easier and the game is better. Just outfit the main gym, no need for the clock under JV especially if you have trouble getting help
English

Have you ever tried to get people to work the score bench on game night. At our school, we need a PA, scorebook, scoreboard, & stat board. Now you have to add a shot clock. It will be difficult to find. People (dads) do it while their kids are playing, then you have to find someone else. While the shot clock is coming (I personally can live w/ it or w/o it), it is going to be problematic. At minimum you have to use it at the Frosh, JV, & Varsity levels. If it is truly about development, then you need it at the 7th & 8th Grade levels too. Most schools are going to have 2 gyms where games are played (various levels). To outfit 2 gyms it will cost just over $10K to put in shot clocks.
English

@RaidersGBB @DomMirandaTV it is not that difficult - 2 buttons one for 20 one for 35 - start pressing
English

If that’s the strategy that CP deems necessary to use, then that is their prerogative. Their job is to put themselves in the best position to win the game….not to entertain fans.
While I know the shot clock is coming, my worry is finding competent people to run it on a night-in/night-out basis. We already have several timing issues throughout the course of a game…the shot clock will only add more stoppage to a game.
English

@JomboyMedia He should have the ump pat him down after the glove check, for full effect.
English

@streethistory @CoachDre3000 @JohnCarrier42 conferences are a bit outdated particularly where there is population changes but it is still hs and experience, scheduling, rivals and transportation still matter but that is more important for in season versus state tournament play
English

@CoachDre3000 @JohnCarrier42 @walkerofdog Conferences are really dumb when playoffs are sections and have little to do with conferences.
Like 4A Section 8. Monticello went 15-1 in their conference (all 3A except Monti). They were seeded 4. Elk River not great in NWSC, but got 3 seed.
English

One of the dumbest “rules” in our “tournament” is geographical representation. Simply no legitimate argument for it. Let’s decide based on where you live the likelihood you’ll go to state in any sport/activity 🤦🏽♂️
Twin Cities Hoops Czar@tchoopsczar
Only 1 school north of Mpls today (TG). So much for geographic sections and regional balance HBC closer to Omaha than Mpls
English

@walkerofdog Section final games are rarely good except for the loaded sections if we’re being honest. Imagine if those were state qtr final games instead.
English

@CoachDre3000 I understand what you are saying, I just think in HS some geographic representation makes sense - section final games are some of the best games and environments of the year - regionality plays a big part in that
English

@walkerofdog You want another hot take. Conferences are dumb, archaic, & we don’t need them anymore either. Pro sports are not a good comparison because at the HS level we cut deeper. Imagine in the NFL only 1 team was allowed to make playoffs no wild cards.
English

@CoachDre3000 outstate has been competitive recently, obviously there a few dominant programs that could/should play up but are entitled based on enrollment to be where they are
English

Zero students. What a shame. Biggest game of these kids lives. Playing in empty barn in Albany
