Its academic job season which means I'm in the privileged position of supporting other early career scholars as they go on the market. I am so troubled and heartsick from the advice I have to give. 1/6

@AngeeGabs @c1aireify In addition to adding it to almost any veggie or salad, sometimes I mix it in with cooked gr.beef/gr.turkey for tacos or chili to make the meat go a little further.

I’m working on taking stock of what’s in my pantry and freezer and eat my way through it. I got a massive bag of quinoa at Costco months ago and I have no idea what to do with it. I would love your favourite quinoa recipes and ideas!

I say this as an Italian: regardless of whether you want to be a parent, children are people who belong in restaurants and cafes and libraries, and wanting them out of all public spaces has become far too disturbingly normalised in the Anglosphere.

And the reward isn't even enough money to comfortably live on. It's barely even survival money. They put so much effort into trying to stop you getting the tiniest pittance, because that's the contempt and hatred they really feel about disabled people.

The Treaty Six Chiefs have released this statement following their meeting with Premier Danielle Smith today. "It was clear from our discussions that Premier Smith does not understand Treaty or our inherent rights nor does she respect them," the statement reads.

We live in a society that would rather see pediatric hospice patients discharged so staff can be redeployed in hospitals than to enthusiastically demand and support the easy means of mitigating the transmission of the airborne diseases crushing the system cbc.ca/news/canada/ca…

It’s incredible how much resistance there is to masking despite the crisis at our children’s hospitals nationwide. It really shows how much “the mask” has become a symbol of what people lost during the pandemic - a scapegoat for their grief and anger.
