Tennessee Republicans just split up Memphis, a city that is 63% Black, and stretched its voters across three congressional districts — some reaching nearly 200 miles away — specifically to dilute Black voting power and eliminate their political voice. This isn’t about politics. This is about silencing a group of American citizens. Any form of government trying to suppress any group of its own people should be opposed by every American who claims to love this country.
