@Airfix I was building the Land Rover Series 1 pick up starter kit with my son and one of the paints is completely dried up. None of the addresses I can find works, how do I get a replacement? Thank you in advance.

Post-wedding, the name change is done! I’m not changing my X handle (for nostalgia reasons) but…hi again all. I guess I’m Katy Thompson now!

@RAeSTimR Silly question, but was it a 617 Sqn jet being downed by the US version of "Dambusters"?

This is genuinely one of the most exciting things that @UKSpaceCmd has done since its formation. It shows a new level of maturity and recognition both of the threats we face, but also the fact that space is definitely a team sport!

The 🇺🇸 & UK Space Command have conducted the 1st US-UK operation in space, under Multinational Force-Operation Olympic Defender In a 1st of its kind mission, @US_SpaceCom's satellite manoeuvred near to the UK SKYNET 5A comms satellite - a complex & meticulously planned operation

@nick_winder @FennellJW This is not saying we should not invest in IAMD.... just be realistic about what is the art of the possible. Also remember that deterrence is a multi-faceted task. We need to go across the whole DIME spectrum to deter left of launch.

@nick_winder @FennellJW It also depends what you are protecting against, Raven is pretty cheap and would probably be effective against cruise missiles and OOA drones. To protect against ballistic missiles (especially into the intermediate range) the cost skyrockets and the coverage drops.

IAMD priorities - Portsmouth, Faslane, Devonport, Gibraltar naval bases - Lossiemouth, Coningsby, Marham, Brize Norton, Akrotiri RAF bases - GCHQ Cheltenham, Whitehall, Wyton, Waddington C2, ISR. - Fylingdales and 8 Remote Radar Heads - AWE Aldermaston and 6 nuclear power plants.

@scottyeders Long and short of it is (and this is personal opinion)we need to focus on the things that only governments can do. The things that companies cannot do, either for commercial or legal/policy reasons.

@scottyeders The challenge is that the civilian capabilities are (quite rightly for them) focussed on capacity over hardening. This means that satellites like Skynet can operate in more challenging EM environments. This is expensive and not worth it for a commercial company.

I wonder how space will feature in the SDR? The militarisation of space offers several strategic benefits. GPS and other satellite navigation systems are vital for precision targeting, troop movements, logistics and maintaining the initiative.

@scottyeders The major change in the last decade is the massive step up in the threat picture. We cannot protect everything so having robust access to the services we need, whilst protecting the most important capabilities. The bonus is civilian capability is also growing as well.

@scottyeders It will be interesting to see how this works out, especially with the development of systems that can threaten UKs space capabilities. Maintaining access to effective ISR, SATCOM and PNT is critical to joint operations.

@MattDursh Used to love rebar detailing, such an entertaining game. My first boss insisted we learnt the basics of putting a cage together to prevent us designing some kind of Escher cage that could not be built!
