An Independent Disciplinary Commission has today expelled Southampton from the Sky Bet Championship Play-Offs after the Club admitted to multiple breaches of EFL Regulations related to the unauthorised filming of other Clubs’ training. In addition, the Club has received a four-point deduction that will be applied to the 2026/27 Championship table. The effect of today’s order is that Middlesbrough are reinstated into the 2026 Play-Offs and will proceed to the Play-Off Final against Hull City. @wallerboy Someone to challenge Kenny has to be on the list for me, not getting any younger and a key position.

Positions we need to sort in the summer. LB first choice, LCB back up, DM first choice, RW first choice, ST back up. If we go big on a ST I'm expecting Makama at RW more plus Crnac back. Maybe a rotation natural RW will do. #ncfc

@Zipperslf Yea agree it's soft but defender gets wrong side and pulls him back. They just always seem to get the 50/50 decisions. Quite astonishing really. We've had sod all for most the season!

@meds89 Yea I mean strong competition for Kenny/Mattson. A first choice level player who'll likely play rotation with them. Like the idea of a joint LCB/LB. That makes a lot of sense if we can find one 👍

@wallerboy DM first choice? It’s likely Kenny & Mattsson are 1st & 2nd in POTS. Some competition in for sure though.
RW is priority, I’d like a LB / LCB rather than 2 signings, Mahovo & Chrisene both young so don’t want to block pathway. A proven centre forward, Makama & Toure still raw

@wallerboy I’d say field was more mattsson cover, wright is probably Kenny’s backup. Could say wright going on low and we bring in a different backup but yeah definitely not first choice over the captain

@oro7777777 Yea debatable that one tbf. But someone capable of taking over from Kenny. Field done well but think we can aim a higher caliber of player.
