@Space_Ache_ @jasonwillems @JohnyBravo183 It was after they talked with arbiter. They where waiting for decision from arbiter, and both was handed a phone from Arbiter probably with the FIDE-president.

This was after Magnus proposed they share the title. They had already played 7 matches, the final 3 being draws. Magnus suggests a tie to Nepo, they walk away and speak to the arbiter. This was likely on the way to the arbiter. The arbiter (likely) makes a phone call and the tie is accepted. People are complaining yet 100% misinterpreting what actually happened here. Magnus is at war with FIDE. FIDE completely botched this event and the rules were essentially incomplete thus leaving room for exploitation. Is Magnus wrong for exploiting the system and essentially helping his friend? That is up to you. At the end of the day , though , this only hurts FIDE and FIDE can only blame themselves for putting together an incomplete set of rules.

Magnus to Nepo: If they (FIDE) refuse (to declare us joint-winners) we'll play short draws until they give up. Idk what it's called in chess but in other sports it's called "match-fixing".
