I'd actually be even worse on the 12" square piece of astroturf some clubs put down for it, would massively overthink my feet.

@waltonyeah @FootballCliches Newcastle do a half time "kick the ball into a tiny goal from halfway" challenge at the moment, the logistics of footwear has put me off ever applying. Can't turn up in boots, but will probably be on my arse without.

@Steeley_BFC He goes into their off the ball stuff, lack of a proper press, midfielders too deep and with acres to cover, too weak both in the challenge and when carrying the ball, wide players either too deep or too far forward, players trotting back. All way too familiar

@waltonyeah I thought exactly the same. Liverpool had chances to get the ball forward quickly but instead would turn back and recycle. It’s an issue in modern football

Pretty much everything he says about their failures could apply to Burnley also. Centre mids too deep, massive distance from centre backs to centre forward, make the pitch so big for the opposition
