Grace Wanene is a passionate gender and climate justice advocate whose work through Drawing Dreams CBO has created meaningful change in Laikipia. With a strong focus on youth and community empowerment, her dedication continues to inspire action, resilience, and inclusive progress

We’re expanding our reach to 5,500 more adolescents aged 10 to 17 in #LaikipiaCounty, thanks to our incredible partnership with @DDINITIATIVE Together, we’ve trained 13 incredible teachers who will guide these young changemakers through our life skills curriculum, which was officially approved by the @KICDKenya earlier this year.

Students will develop social-emotional and leadership skills,so that they can become agents of change. It also encourages them to examine gender norms, actively address the biases that hold girls back, fostering a generation committed to building a more equitable future #RISE🇰🇪

The 24-weeks sessions are rooted in storytelling, to help students explore complex topics, discover new ideas, and build critical skills. It teaches them about their rights, the importance of equity, and how to recognize and rely on allies in their lives.2/3 #wezeshandoto

Menstruation And Sports 🩸⚽️🩸 A research conducted on female athletes and sports ladies indicated that 93% reported menstrual cycle-related symptoms. 23% perceived heavy menstrual bleeding and 67% considered these symptoms impaired their performances. 1/3 #wezeshandoto
