June is Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month so with that in mind I felt like sharing: I'm 40 now and I’ve spent the past 22 years immersed in the esports industry - an environment that’s fast-paced, exciting, and often unpredictable. It’s been a huge part of my life, shaping who I am in countless ways. But as of now, that chapter may be coming to a close - and I’m not going to pretend it’s easy. The truth is, I’m struggling. There’s a lot of fear, uncertainty, and emotional weight that comes with possibly saying goodbye to something that’s defined you for so long. It’s taken a toll on my mental health. For a while, I kept it all to myself, trying to push through like so many of us are taught to do. But I’ve come to realize - there’s strength in being vulnerable. So I’m getting help. I’m talking to people. I’m doing the work to feel better, even when it’s hard. I’m sharing this not for sympathy, but because I know there are others out there who are also struggling in silence. Especially men, who are often conditioned to “tough it out” instead of reaching out. If that’s you please know you’re not alone. There’s no shame in hurting and there’s absolutely no shame in asking for help. Let’s be kind to one another. You never know what someone’s carrying. Hope to see you guys on the server soon but if I don't it was an absolute pleasure being apart of this scene as long as I have an I am incredibly grateful to every one who was apart of my journey. Take care of yourselves and take care of each other.
