Love this. Several of these “best” moments came after a “not so great moment”. Goes to show that elite athletes can and do refocus to control the controllable’s after something bad happens.

Well there goes 20 minutes of my day. On Tiger Woods 50th birthday, his 50 best shots of his career. Jack had more majors. Hogan hit it straighter. Bobby Jones won the calendar Grand Slam. But NOBODY did it like Tiger. A true showman.

@BallMechanic Coaching is an art form. And the ability to adapt is real. Each team has its challenges, never mind each generation. As coaches we need to get on their level and really invest in what they feel is important. If it doesn’t match, then the portal will sort it all out.

@warningtrackmac I understand your point. However, I'm about to get very philosophical. There is a change in the landscape in society as a whole. There is a sense of entitlement and conditioning towards immediate gratification. If my video game doesn't go the way I want it to go, I start over.

When I was recruiting, often had potential players/parents ask “What separates a FR on the field?”
Obviously there is always a skill component, but being physically ready for a full year of baseball with a strong base to build on was normally a huge difference.
