Captain Janeway x Captain Power. A follow-up to my previous comic (and pardon my indulgence). My favorite character from the 80s sci-fi, ‘Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future’ is Corporal Jennifer ‘Pilot’ Chase portrayed by Jessica Steen. Power on ✊⚡️

Anyone remember ‘Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future’? The ‘Q Who’ episode of TNG (first Borg appearance) aired in 1989 whereas Captain Power aired in 1987. I am guessing the Borg design might have been inspired by Lord Dread, the antagonist from Captain Power.

Law enforcement officers (kinda like the Galaxy Rangers) believe Voyager is a shadow organization aiding these criminals to destabilize their economy and vow to dismantle it. This scene would be the prologue before its cuts to black and the Voyager theme. [2/2]

A Voyager comic without featuring Voyager or any of its crew. The plot (some creative liberty here): criminals removed a replicator from a crashed shuttle belonging to Voyager (probably in a larger one for extended missions) and altered it to make counterfeit currency… [1/2]

Janeway’s ‘assimilation’ was inspired by the horrific scene from ‘Superman III’ where one of the antagonists (Vera Webster) was turned into a cyborg by a supercomputer. That scene was traumatizing/nightmare-inducing to watch as a kid.

However, she is systematically rewired (literally as illustrated, with hair strands lighting up like fiber optics) and becomes something like the Borg Queen but yet not entirely… (continued in the next comment)
