The Capitol is excited to host a free screening of Jonesville: When Sunflowers Fall on Sunday, 4/12 @ 3 p.m! This WKU PBS Documentary explores the realities of urban renewal through the story of Jonesville. No tickets required.

TU, 4/28, 6 p.m. @ the Capitol: "Farm to Front Porch: Local Women Building the Future Without Forgetting the Past" will bring together 4 Southern KY women -- Leticia Cline, Laura Gilbert, Brie Golliher, and Telia Butler -- to share their expertise on progress & preservation.

We were so touched by a recent donation of beautiful succulents given to the Lisa Rice Library. They were gifted by the family of long time library patron, a plant lover who recently passed away, after they noticed the various plants throughout the building.

Happy Monday from two of library's newest safety specialists! Jimmy and Jayden have been great additions to the WCPL team. From welcoming patrons in to checking out books and doing all things "library," they are building a solid and stable foundation of support for everyone!

The wait is finally over! Locally Made Market is TOMORROW, Saturday, March 28 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Shop from over 50 local vendors, participate in a family egg hunt, and enjoy live musical performances from WKU's Musical Theatre Department throughout the day.

Weekly library programs introduce children to all kinds of concepts and a variety of engaging experiences. Last week's Preschool Science Lab attendees were treated to a visit from Coco, an Umbrella Cockatoo that belongs to Brent, one of the managers at the Lisa Rice Library.

Spring into something new this season at the library! NOTE: The Buchanon Park Branch will be closed the latter half of the week, Wednesday - Saturday (3/25-28). It will remain closed until April 1.

This rounds out the highlight posts of vendors and food trucks we'll have on hand at the Locally Made Market Saturday, March 28, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. under the pavilion at SOKY Center. Make a whole day of it -- browse, shop, and visit with vendors then grab a bite to eat!

Earl, WCPL's Special Populations Lead, develops connections with participants at LifeWorks in a number of ways, from promoting library resources and developing library volunteers to providing practical instruction.
