@pamlittletx @lynnsdavenport if you get an audience with TEA leadership. Please ask them when taxpayers can expect a return on investment for sales of Bluebonnet Learning. If taxpayers funded development, we should have access to receipts and redistribution of capital.

@GinaForAustin @gregabbott Is TEA creating the assessment? If so, it will probably align with Bluebonnet Learning and should be free, since taxpayers have already picked up the tab to cover TEA operations.

Testing is a personal issue to a whole lot of Texas moms & dads because so many of our kids have been hurt by the STAAR test. No parent asked for a bill that forces kids to take 51 tests. The bill was fast-tracked & parents have a right to be angry. I am. @gregabbott: Veto HB 8

@GinaForAustin I invite you to propose a higher tax on single vendor awards, state contracts. It should also apply to legislative income earned while in office, not inclusive of per diems. Any income earned should be taxed at 75%. Taxpayers should always see a return on investment.

I just walked onto the House Floor to vote AGAINST HB 8, which triples STAAR testing for our kids in neighborhood public schools. Students don’t want this. Parents don’t want this. Only the vendors who make $$ off the tests want this. I’m proud to vote no. #txlege

@MicahhParsons11 Football contracts are the worst agreements in pro sports. Contracts should be guaranteed, and then there may be fewer holdouts. 🏀and ⚾️ are fully guaranteed and have arbitration process available to players and teams. Analyze 🏈player cuts prior to pension benefits. Harsh!

I actually appreciate this 🙏🏾. The way media shapes perception and narratives is wild—and if he hadn’t said anything, everyone would’ve just run with it. I’d never disrespect the guys out there fighting for their lives.

@GinaForAustin Dig in to the ROI RE Bluebonnet Learning and HB1605 appropriation. Rumor has it that only 6% of the state has chosen the state-authored curriculum. Not the best endorsement of TEA leadership and their plan for education.

@JaredLPatterson I find it interesting that this past session including many bills that protected children, awesome work. Only for the adults in the room to behave as children, dysfunctional. Very embarrassing!

@GinaForAustin Antitrust. They’ve created a monopoly. TEA has let their ambitions get far ahead of their wisdom. Taxes fuel TEA’s curriculum, and we, as investors, have no vote. If it were an elected and not appointed position, Morath wouldn’t lead TEA. No receipts. TEA for profit?

Where’s the accountability for the school accountability system?! I’d be angry if I was a 3rd grade teacher who didn’t get a bonus because of TEA’s incompetence. It’s time to boot the TEA out of the business of creating The Test. #txlege dallasnews.com/news/education…

Father, We lift up the flood victims in Texas and the missing girls from the Christian camp. You see their pain, their fear, and their need—and You are the God who saves. Bring comfort to the hurting, strength to the weary, and peace to every storm. Lord, we pray for swift rescue, for protection over the missing, and for miraculous restoration. Guide every search team, calm every anxious heart, and let Your presence be felt in powerful ways. What the enemy meant for harm, turn it for good. You are our refuge, our hope, and our deliverer. We trust You. We need You. Move mightily, Lord. In Jesus name, Amen!

These are just 4 examples that don’t even address things brought up in the STAAR lawsuits, ex: faulty AI grading of written answers, retroactive standards, etc. Big picture: TEA Commissioner Mike Morath creates the STAAR & manipulates scores. Read below theconversation.com/texas-annual-r…

Last week 2025 STAAR test results dropped in TX & one thing is clear: A rigged STAAR is setting up schools & districts for TAKEOVER. Ex: 50% of 3rd graders got a ZERO on the typed essay. When 50% get a 0, there’s something wrong w/the test, not the kid.🧵

@GregAbbott_TX Should also ban legislative social media. Maybe then they will focus on the law and not self aggrandizing. Maybe then we would have more unity. Let’s adopt a “hands in Texas” approach and abandon our current prioritization of isolationism. We all want to win!

Texas is focused on becoming #1 in education. I signed a law to prohibit cell phone usage in Texas public schools during the school day. Texas will continue to support productive learning environments by eliminating unnecessary distractions. click2houston.com/news/local/202…

@GinaForAustin Interesting that the same leaders who should be held accountable are the same people leading the takeovers. If they knew what they were doing, districts would thrive. Leadership in ISDs isn’t the problem. It’s TEA, private equity. They’ve taken ISDs out of the formula.

@lynnsdavenport @Jacky68262230 As taxpayers, we are all investors in TEA-created resources and deserve visibility to a dashboard showing adopters and revenue generated by Bluebonnet Learning. If not, TEA should lose its nonprofit status and operate as a private business.

The Texas Bluebonnet Learning curriculum, which incorporates a Bible-infused approach to a one-world religion, received approval from the Texas State Board of Education and will be available for implementation in the 2025–26 school year. Under the appointed charter school guru Superintendent Miles, Houston ISD did not commence the process two years ago unless they were already utilizing the progressive Amplify curriculum, suggesting that the district has been under TEA's Amplify digital curriculum oversight longer than we realize. This curriculum, developed under House Bill 1605, aims to offer centralized, standardized instructional resources for Texas public schools in a digital format, with some printed materials available for an additional fee already under HB 1605. The introduction of Bluebonnet Learning aligns with legislative efforts to reduce the role of teachers as artificial intelligence becomes a more cost-effective alternative, as well as to teach everyone at the same level where no one can get ahead because the system is designed to ensure “equal outcomes.” Consequently, Steve Toth is being dishonest as always, as he claims that the success of a broken district is due to a curriculum that has not been taught—not surprising coming from a progressive politician. Steve Toth is a LIAR! @TxEdHouston

@donwinslow We had an election, and the American people overwhelmingly chose Donald Trump…or against radical liberal leadership. Celebrate our independence and freedom and wait on the next election. Your message is one of fear and hate, and America isn’t about either of those things.

@sbellsnyder @CourtGore Ask your colleagues why TEA’s curriculum doesn’t disqualify them from operating as a nonprofit. If they had to use resources provided by the private sector, it would bankrupt their attempt to launch bluebonnet learning. Couldn’t afford it w/o taxpayers. Would like to see ROI.

We brought the truth to the Palo Pinto County United Republicans—pulling back the curtain on what’s really happening inside the Texas Republican Party when it comes to public education. We’re fighting for strong neighborhood schools, local control, and real representation—not schemes pushed by Austin insiders and billionaires. The battle for public education is on. And we’re just getting started. 🚨📚 #RepublicansForPublicSchools #TXLege #ProtectOurSchools #LocalVoices #PaloPintoStrong

@JaredLPatterson @GregAbbott_TX Thanks for giving us what’s ours! The money is coming from the record surplus, correct? Meaning, we were taxed, taxed, and taxed some more. Then, out of the kindness of your hearts, you gave a little back. Only for the appraisal office to snatch out of our hands. Thanks!

@GregAbbott_TX I hope the person in charge of financially engineering appropriations isn’t your accountant. If so, you deserve an audit. This year’s session helped no one. Is TEA operating as a for profit business? I’d like to see sales report for Bluebonnet Learning, as an investor.

@lynnsdavenport @Davy1836 Private schools are hosting virtual meetings to inform currently enrolled families RE school choice. Also, tuition was increased at many schools for next year. Is there a site that reports new student enrollment, any reporting mechanism associated with SB2 RE disbursements?

If your rep is saying they received more phone calls in support of SB2 (fake school choice) than against, then check this out. Appears that an org funded by Dan Patrick ($200k) and a "school choice" lobby group ($100k) may have been rigging the phone calls reps received. 👇👇👇

@Davy1836 Club for Growth call to action update: yes, they're still running this campaign with us. Texas voters are not buying. I hear the same from my co-workers. We're supposed to transfer the calls to their rep in support, I've only transferred 2 or 3 in the past week. 1000's of calls

Wrong. It’s not the parents’ choice, it’s the private schools’ choice: Is your kid from the right neighborhood? Already admitted? Are they the right religion? The list goes on. & the only real choice for all TX kids, our neighborhood schools, remains severely underfunded.
Greg Abbott@GregAbbott_TX

This session, we made school choice a reality. Parents can now choose the school that is the BEST fit for their child. Texas supports our families with EDUCATION FREEDOM.
