They think we write spontaneously, but they don't know that we empty our lives through writing. We write what accompanies us in a style that explains, a style that expresses our innermost feelings. The exhausted writer is not the one who has run out of words, but the one who feels that every sentence they write tears a piece from their soul. We don't invent stories; we rearrange our wounds in a way that satisfies our readers... I don't write to tell you, nor to be read. I write to survive. Every word bleeds onto the paper as if plucking out a thorn one by one... from a hidden place in my chest, on the left, where that thing dwells... that ancient pain, which I never named. I thought crying would set me free, but I dried up long ago. Now, the pen is my cry. Language is the open wound. And in a moment, I wrote something I didn't understand. But I felt... something moving. As if a light chain had broken in my chest. As if I had plucked out a small knot or pulled the first thread from the net of years of destruction... This is an answer for those who ask me why my writing is sad and profound..... Please forgive me for the delay in building the shelter. I started work on it today, and I bought metal sheets from destroyed buildings because there are no new materials available. I am currently gathering the necessary materials.. According to psychology: When you begin the journey of recovery from trauma, and emerge from the constant "fight or flight" state, your body will crave a lot of rest. You're not lazy; your body is finally feeling safe and trying to make up for years of chronic stress during which it wasn't given a moment of true peace... This is literally what happened to me, friends... but I can't stay in the same place forever... so I took the first step... And I hope you like the new shelter.. We are still struggling for the cats and to survive in this suffering in Gaza... Things are extremely difficult, my friends...
