A beautiful moment of unity 💧
At the commissioning of this new drinking water system at Uganda Martyrs Secondary School, church leaders joined us to witness and bless this important milestone.
For over 20 years, the school has educated generations of learners and is currently home to more than 700 students. When we first visited, the school relied on boiling water for drinking, a demanding process that was never enough to meet daily needs. There were constant concerns that the water was not consistently reaching the right boiling temperature, increasing the risk of waterborne diseases.
Today, that story is changing.
It’s inspiring to see schools, faith leaders, and communities come together around something as essential as safe water. Together, we’re not just installing systems,we are laying the foundation for healthier, safer, and brighter futures.

Kapchorwa Modern Primary School, located about 300 km northeast of Kampala, is a valued partner serving over 1,000 learners. At WaterQuip, we believe that sustainable access to safe drinking water goes far beyond simply providing equipment or technology.
It is about the people we serve, the relationships we build, and, most importantly, ensuring that the schools we work with understand the importance of our partnership and the role they play in it. Achieving sustainability in the services we provide requires active involvement from the school and its stakeholders. It is truly a team effort.
Together, we provide and sustain safe drinking water for both learners and staff.

This activity was both fun and insightful. It really highlighted how having too many instructions in the workplace can sometimes create confusion, and how important clarity is in getting things done effectively. These are small details that can easily go unnoticed, yet they make a big difference.
A big thank you to our facilitators and to D&J Consulting for organizing such an engaging and enlightening experience. We truly had fun and learned a lot!

Last week, we paused everything at WaterQuip to catch up and set the pace for 2026!
It was a good moment, we laughed, we talked,we really catched up on a lot!
We conducted a lot of activities, including (among others) building a bridge activity, which for some groups proved a challenge......but that activity strengthened team effort and work in that moment and clearly highlighted why teamwork is critical in any activity. Thanks to our facilitators @D&J consulting as well as our own @SharonTwongeirwe, you together pulled off an excellent team building retreat for 2026!

Safe water in schools isn’t just about drinking water. It’s about health, learning, and opportunity.
This May, we’ll share lessons from our pilot project in Uganda on how a subscription model is helping schools access safe water sustainably.
Stay tuned! #SaveTheDate
