Nine years ago, we met Anjali in the mountains of Nepal. Her story has stayed with us ever since. Now, we’re back—retracing our steps, reconnecting, and continuing a journey that started long before today. Follow along over the next few days as we share what this moment means!

@wavesforwaterphilippines, in partnership with @columbiasportswearph, worked alongside an indigenous Aeta community in Sitio Banawen, Zambales to implement solutions for clean water access.

A single water filter, when properly maintained, can provide up to a million gallons of clean water. For the communities in the Peruvian Andes - where water must be boiled using costly and sometimes hazardous propane - these filters offer a safer, more sustainable solution.

Some communities are only accessible by foot. In this 3-part series, we follow the @wavesforwater team as they travel deep into the Peruvian Andes to implement water filters in remote villages.

After reaching high camp on Day 2, the @wavesforwater team shifted focus from travel to training. With the Andes as a backdrop, W4W founder @jon_rose and Peruvian ambassador Gabriel Villaràn worked with local guides and cowboys - known as “Arrows”
