In the Georgia Democratic primary for Commissioner of Agriculture, voters elected a candidate who raised $3707. $3407 self-funded + $270 from 3 individual donors. $2500 spent on the filing fee, $220 spent on the actual campaign. The incumbent Republican raised $550k, spent $100k.

GEORGIA. Chase Oliver - the 2024 Libertarian presidential nominee - has ended his run for Governor, citing "family and personal well-being" reasons. The LP can file another candidate, who must submit roughly 40,000 valid petition signatures by July 14 ... which seems unlikely.

I think Katie Porter is pissed. I think she's pissed because she was the frontrunner heading into New Years then when Steyer and Swalwell entered she got pushed into third. So I think she's mad at Steyer for taking the lead in an election she thinks should have been hers to win.

KLB won the #GAGov primary outright but Dems still have several runoffs to settle including for LG. Josh McLaurin finished first but Nabilah Parkes finished second and did well in areas south of ATL. She'd be the first Muslim woman nominated for state office if she wins
