Getting ready for the big Record Store Day ‘Black Friday’ thing! How do we brangle?? Get up, get an espresso, get some Bad Brains on the Walkman! ‘Rock For Light’, indeed! Today we open at 10AM!!

Got up at the buttcrack. Absolutely no one out. Glorious nature: birds singing, last bugs of autumn. Did I have time for all that? Hell no. I needed a ‘spro & 16m44s of Bad Brains’ metallic slam dunk ‘I Against I’ side 2. Then: the 4-hour store opening ritual. We open at noon!

As they say: “Another day, another morning.” Time for a ‘spro and some Bad Brains. On today’s menu: the ‘spro will be small, brown, and hot. The Bad Brains? ‘The Youth Are Getting Restless: live at the Paradiso, Amsterdam, 1987.’

A little espresso & Bad Brains in the morning never hurt anyone!

We will be closing from 8/12 through 8/18 for some much needed R&R, We will reopen @ Noon on the 19th and we look forward to once again providing you with music — the quickest route to the sublime.

On August 12th, 1974, Wazoo first opened on Liberty St. in Ann Arbor. All vinyl LPs. Here we are in 2024, still selling mostly vinyl LPs (though we haven’t given up on CDs, cassettes)— pretty amazing. We give thanks to all those who’ve visited and supported us during the years.

Wazoo will be closed from Monday Feb. 26th thru Friday March 1st during the U of M Spring Break. We will reopen Saturday March 2nd @ 10:00 AM

Wazoo will be open the next 2 Wednesdays, Dec. 20th and 27th

We will open @ Noon on Friday, 11/24 with Records Store Day titles for sale. We offer more than 25 different unique and choice titles for the event. come by or call Tues or Weds. (yes, we'll be open Weds. and Closed Thanksgiving Day) to preview what we have.

Wazoo Records begins it’s 50th year of doing business in Ann Arbor on August 12th. We want to thank all those who have supported us over the years. We will take off from the 14th-20th of August and be back the 21st for another awesome year.

Record Store Day is this Saturday, the 22nd. We will open at 10AM and have more than 50 unique titles available. Check the RSD site or call/email us for details. You can come by today or Friday for a preview. See you then.
