@TulaneTiger It’s literally just a training camp contract. Most teams have signed players to these deals as camp bodies. Most of them won’t make the teams. What’s the issue?

I was gonna keep my mouth shut, but this just ain’t right. Plenty more deserving players who have not been given an opportunity. Everyone should take notice when a signing like this happens.

@kenzofuku I like the offense. The defense scares me a little bit but if any team can work on defense it’s GSV.

A LOT changes if Juste Jocyte arrives in a Valkyries uniform and starts taking names. The most intriguing player on the roster heading into this season.

A follow-up on the Flau'jae Johnson trade, via me and @ramonashelburne: After 5 p.m. ET on Sunday, teams could not trade picks until after the selections were executed on draft day. Sources told ESPN Golden State and Seattle spoke pre-draft about a potential trade framework but the deal wasn't agreed to until Golden State was on the clock with the No. 8 selection. Golden State made the decision to trade down to the second round after the players they were eyeing to draft were taken earlier in the first round. @alysssa61 Also, it might only make things worse for fans to know. Then you’d have a bunch or swirling misconceptions and assumptions as to why people were protected.

@alysssa61 I imagine Jocyte, Rupert, and Ceci might be on that list as well. Carla probably would have been the 6th player but sadly couldn’t protect 6 like last year.

@awfcvalks There’s a lot of irrational folks on this app. Valks had a lot of solid players and were always going to lose someone who hurt.

Pretty sure Valks opted to protect Ceci over Carla. We were always going to lose a good one. Couldn’t protect them all. Think it went: VB Ja Ili Juste Ceci I am surprised they took Maria Conde instead of other players, but I’m not mad at it!!!
