Stage lengths for Cup at Talladega will be 98-45-45. Without needing to stop in the each of the final two stages for fuel, the hope is there will be less fuel saving.

@dabfordale Where this system will really shine is the better emphasis on the regular season title and the actual chase. Instead of tv staring at people in 14th fighting to not be eliminated in the round of 12 they’ll focus on the leaders finally.

These being the “notable” drivers on the outside looking in shows just how bloated this Chase field is. I don’t think any of them were expected to make it except Bowman who has missed races for health issues. At least with Win-and-In there was some room for drama with 16.

Todd Gilliand got a top 5 and he started in the back like Byron did. It’s just a crap show from this race team and unacceptable in this stage.
