Bad coaches talk too much and too loudly. Yelling and talking more than actually teaching. Great coaches have the ability to communicate something complex and make it simple in less words and lower volumes so that the athletes can understand and apply it.

Play because you love the game. Work hard because you love winning.

The harder you push yourself when no one is looking, the easier it will be when they are.

If you only focus on results, remember this: The game doesn’t give us what we want, what we hope for or what we pray for. It gives us an opportunity. An opportunity to put your process & the work you’ve done on the line for everyone to see.

Every time you skip a rep behind your coach's back you're not tricking them, you're cheating your teammates and yourself.

As a leader your job is to serve, not be served. Your team needs to know you care. Serve their heart. Your team needs to improve. Serve their talent. Your team struggles with doubt. Serve their mind and spirit. Your team has potential. Serve their growth.
