There are some leaders who really do care, but may not be able to show it. This is when you sit down with your staff and you tell them the good news is I really do care about you, but the bad news is I may not always show it very well. Then make it a priority to work on it.

Big day for Grassland Elementary as the school officially receives its 2022 National Blue Ribbon Award at a ceremony in Washington D.C.! This is a huge honor as fewer than 300 schools across the nation earned the recognition this year. Congrats, GES! #NBRS2022 #proudlywcs

Molenberghs research indicates that the ability to implement change requires that staff perceives leadership as a part of the group rather than out-group members.

Leaders, it is easier for teachers/ staff to walk away from a culture where they don't feel SAFE Supported Appreciated Fit-in Encouraged In fact, that is most often the reason they leave.

October is National Principals Month. Take a look at what this servant leader did, along with 10 of her dedicated staff when the College Grove Rockets exceeded their fundraising goal. Kudos to you- Kathy Lillard and your amazing community. @WCSedu @DrBradJohnson

Some may think praise, compliments, and appreciation are not necessary for adults, But remember its not just that you are praising your staff, but you're also saying I am present, I'm paying attention, & I am in this with you. can this really be said too much?

These College Grove Elementary teachers demonstrate their remarkable gifts as they guide their students in finding the main idea and key details in third grade and the theme in fourth grade.
