Wayne Dennison retweetledi

Partner Wayne Dennison joins @CourtTV to discuss the evidence presented in court filings for the retrial of #KarenRead, who is facing several charges, including second-degree murder, in the death of her boyfriend, #JohnOKeefe.
During last year's trial, which ended in a hung jury, the defense pointed to surveillance video provided by the prosecution, suggesting that someone intentionally inverted, manipulated, or altered the footage. The video in question is from a surveillance camera in O’Keefe’s driveway which shows Read’s black Lexus SUV backing out of her Boston police officer boyfriend’s driveway in 2022. Dennison believes this will be a big issue.
“80% of retrials are convictions because the prosecution gets to practice their act and come back and do it again,” Dennison said. “This is one of those areas that is just literally inexplicable. Why is it this video inverted and still the timestamp is appropriate and placed in the right place? The whole issue around this video has not been explained in a meaningful way.”
